United Carpets in Crewe, on Nantwich Road, had recently undertaken a refresh of the front signage.
To celebrate the new look, Graham Saunders, Chair of Crewe BID and General Manager at South Cheshire Glass, cut the blue ribbon to mark the event.
Eddie Davies, owner and manager of United Carpets Crewe, said: “It was time for a change. The external paint had been red for a long while. We wanted to tie it in with the general corporate re-brand which went from red and yellow to dark and light blues. We’ve already had lots of comments from customers who like the new look.”
The landmark store has been owned and managed by Eddie for 16 years, having bought the franchise back in 2010.
Eddie added: “I’m very proud that the business has grown every year. Having repeat customers, and those that recommend us to family and friends, is priceless.”
Graham Saunders, who cut the ribbon in his capacity of Chair of Crewe BID, said: “I’ve worked at South Cheshire Glass for 14 years, but many years ago I had a Saturday job at this very carpet store.
“It’s nice to see a long established locally-owned company that is looking to the future and investing in their business,”
Eddie has recently attended a flooring conference to choose new stock for autumn and Christmas, traditionally his busiest time of year.
